LIFE TUBES
Life Tubes
Life Tubes hold a form containing all the relevant and necessary information for a person’s health and wellbeing. This information includes:
- Names and contact details of next of kin or emergency contact people, such as doctor, lawyer, pharmacist
- Any known health conditions and medications that are being taken at the time
- Any other relevant details to assist if the person is unable to communicate.
When completed, the form is rolled up and placed inside the tube and it is then kept in inside the refrigerator door. In case of an emergency, the police, ambulance, fire service or even a neighbour, will be alerted by the bright red sticker on the outside of the fridge that vital information is contained within a Life Tube inside.
For people who are bit more active the Life Tube can be placed in a handbag or glovebox as well (addresses should not be included when a tube is used outside the home). This will enable anyone out and about to access the necessary information immediately if necessary.
The information contained in Life Tubes have saved people’s lives.
Life Tubes are for sale through us for $5.00 each—this includes GST. There will also be a postage and handling cost on top of this if you are not local. Life Tubes can also be purchased through a number of organisations throughout New Zealand and it is worth checking with your local Age Concern to see if they have any stock.
